OBSGESSION is joining the Oikos-GFO 2026 conference
OBSGESSION is to attend the Joint Nordic Society Oikos (NSO)–GfÖ Conference 2026, taking place from 13–17 September 2026 in Odense, Denmark.
Bringing together more than 1,200 ecologists and environmental scientists from across Europe and beyond, the conference is one of the major meeting points for the European ecological research community. Its programme spans a broad range of topics, from population, community and ecosystem ecology to conservation, ecosystem services, biodiversity monitoring and the science-policy interface.
OBSGESSION will be represented at the conference by the project's communication and dissemination partner, Pensoft Publishers, which will welcome participants at its exhibition stand throughout the event. The stand will provide a dedicated space to discover OBSGESSION and its work on advancing biodiversity observation.
Visitors will have the opportunity to learn more about how OBSGESSION is working to improve the understanding of the direct and indirect drivers of biodiversity change by bringing together Earth Observation, in-situ biodiversity observations and advanced ecological modelling. Moreover, project materials will be showcased, highlighting the OBSGESSION objectives and ongoing work, providing an opportunity to explore its approaches and outputs.
